Winstead Hall Modernization
This State and Measure E funded project will modernize and expand the primary Student Services building on the Rocklin campus, Winstead Hall (L), allowing for the consolidation of the most critical student support services currently located in multiple buildings around campus. Winstead is centrally located adjacent to the proposed Student Union (J). Winstead was built in 1961 as the original library building for the campus and then renovated in 2000 as the Student Services building. Since then, the need for student services has steadily increased, most recently as a result of new State and local Student Success initiatives. The expanding Student Services functions had to be moved into available spaces outside of Winstead and a new relocatable was purchased when existing available space was exhausted
Currently, this project is budgeted at $48 million. The District will aggressively pursue supplemental State funding for this project. As plans are developed and the project is fully vetted, the preliminary cost estimate may change.
The estimated construction start of this project is 1st Quarter 2028
